Ahmed Zubair, Secretary for IEEE IAS Bangladesh Chapter
Industry-Academia Innovation Forum, a co-located event during the International COVID Congress 2020 (ICC2020), was held virtually on 10th August 2020 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM Bangladesh Standard Time with the aim of addressing the research and innovation challenges, research field prioritization, and collaboration between industry and academic researchers during COVID-19. Dr. Tomy Sebastian, President of IEEE IAS 2017-2018, and Prof. Sri Niwas Singh, IEEE IAS PL 2019-20, delivered the keynote talks highlighting the scale, scope, and pattern change of inventions and explained how to mitigate the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution during the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Prof. Jin-Woo Ahn, Prof. M. Rezwan Khan, Prof. Ruwan Gopura, Rajashekhar S, and Zafir Shafiee Chowdhury, the five experts from industry and academia, expressed their views on the theme of the forum, chaired by Prof. Celia Shahnaz and moderated by Dr. Ahmed Zubair. There was also an interactive Q&A session during the forum.
