IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Bangladesh Chapter along withIEEE Bangladesh Section organized two impactful Webinars recently. On 18th July2020, a Meet and Greet was held among the eight IEEE RAS Student Branch Chapters of Bangladesh, who shared their yearly plans and partook in an exciting COVID’19 themed idea-generation activity. The packed three-hour long event included a keynote speech by Dr. Kavi Arya (Professor, IIT Bombay) and was attended by 81 participants in total. The second event, taking place on 25th July and boasting 136 participants from India and Bangladesh, featured an invited speech on Mobile Robotics by Dr. M. Shivakumar (Principal, GSSSIETW, India), moderated by Dr. Shaikh A. Fattah (Chair, IEEE RAS Bangladesh Chapter). Dr. Celia Shahnaz (Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section) graced both events with her presence and valuable insights on robotics projects in Bangladesh and importance of long-term engagement.
