Regional SPS Congress 2020

Satyanarayana Bheesette, Chair for IEEE SPS Bombay Chapter

Virtual Regional Signal Processing Society (SPS) Congress 2020 was organized by the IEEE SPS Bombay Chapter on 28th November 2020. The Congress was attended by more than 100 participants from among the twelve SPS chapters from India and one from Bangladesh. Dr. Satyanarayana Bheesette [1] welcomed the participants and Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla [2] made opening remarks. Profs. K.V.S. Hari [3] and Ken Ma [4] briefed on SPS in R10 and its initiatives. Profs. Ken Ma and Ami Wisel [5] delivered distinguished lectures, before joining the panel discussion along with Profs. Yashwant Gupta [6] and Anubha Gupta [7]. A virtual social interaction was organized using the “Run The World” App. A Women in Signal Processing Session was conducted by Prof. Celia Shahnaz [8], followed by a session on Education and Outreach by Profs. Angshul Majumdar [9] and Chirag Paunwala [10]. The Congress was concluded with brainstorming on future collaborative events between the Regional Chapters, in which all the Chapter Chairs participated.
