In order to provide knowledge of the importance of pre-university education in the school students from Grade 8th to 12th, IEEE Women in Engineering Project-Based Learning School Camp was held from 20th to 27th November 2021 concentrating on the theme of “Share2Care using Project-Based Learning”. It included the inauguration ceremony, session talks, hands-on sessions, followed by the presentation round and the closing ceremony. The event witnessed the participation of over 90 students from more than 5 countries including India, Nigeria, United States, Bangladesh, Singapore and Thailand.
The camp consisted of the following talks: ‘The World of Content Creation and its Prominence’ by Ashok Khanduri (Senior Content Reviewer for French, Amazon), ‘Japanese for Career Success’ by Lalandhi S (Manager-strategic planning, Japanese Pluz), ‘The Stepping Stones for Creative Writing’ by Vagisha Anant (Blogger & sustainability Enthusiast), ‘Leadership Skills for 21st Century’ by Sinjini Sengupta (Founder, Lighthouse), and ‘An Era of Digital Marketing and Life towards Sustainable Development’ by Kamya Johar (IT Development Senior Associate, NTT Data Services). The teams were asked to present the problem statement via article/blog/presentation. They were judged on the basis of ‘Above & Beyond’, content richness and presentation on their articulation done from the development phase.
