A Cyber Security Workshop on Ethical Hacking Tools using Kali Linux

Cyber Security has now become a necessity due to the massive boom and growth in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. The number of threats to internet connected devices has grown right along with the enormous growth in the number of devices themselves. IT Security is the only thing keeping this trend from becoming even worse. Cyber Security is focused on the preservation of the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of the information that passes through this vast interconnected web that is so valuable to society. Expenses resulting from cybercrime have grown exponentially. To put damage in perspective, that’s more than the global trade of all illegal drugs combined and much larger than the annual cost incurred from natural disasters. This workshop offered in depth knowledge about IT Security, Cyber Security, and Information Security. It gave an overview of Ethical Hacking Concepts along with hands-on workshop on Kali Linux Tools. This event was held on 22nd September 2022 at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan with 85 participants.
