Embarking on a New Term Together

Dear IEEE Region 10 Members,

As we begin this exciting new term, it is my greatest honor to serve as your IEEE Region 10 Director for 2025–2026. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with such an exceptional team of dedicated professionals and leaders, and I look forward to continuing the incredible legacy of Region 10.

Acknowledgment and Gratitude

First and foremost, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Prof. Lance Fung and all the past Region 10 Directors, along with their remarkable teams, for their outstanding leadership and contributions. Their visionary efforts have laid a strong foundation for our region, driving innovation and unity across our diverse communities. Their work inspires us all to strive for greater heights, and I am humbled to follow in their footsteps.

Strategic Focus for 2025–2026

Looking ahead, our priorities for this term are focused on two transformative goals that will define our journey together:

1. Strategic Preparation for the 2028 Region Realignment

As IEEE prepares for the realignment of Region 10 and the creation of Region 11, we must address the challenges and opportunities that this change presents. Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, we will ensure a smooth and impactful transition that strengthens our global mission.

2. Fostering Collaboration under One IEEE

The strength of IEEE lies in its unity. This term, we aim to strengthen ties across Sections, Chapters, and Affinity Groups within Region 10, promoting collaboration and collective action to achieve shared goals and enhance our impact.

Our Commitments

In pursuit of these goals, we are guided by the following principles:

1. Collaboration Across Regions and OUs

We will continue to build bridges and foster partnerships that unite our vibrant and diverse region. Together, we will enhance collaboration and share knowledge across boundaries.

2. Transparency and Inclusivity

Fair resource allocation, clear communication, and diverse representation are critical to our success. These values will remain central to our approach.

3. Empowerment and Growth

Our commitment is to empower every member of Region 10—from students to seasoned professionals—to grow, lead, and make meaningful contributions to IEEE’s mission.

4. Moving Forward Together

As we embark on this journey, let us carry forward the spirit of unity, transparency, and innovation that defines IEEE. Together, we will build a stronger Region 10 that embodies the values and aspirations of One IEEE.
