2024 Section and Chapters (SC) Committee chaired by Amit Kumar (Hyderabad Section) includes Zuhaina Zakaria (IEEE Malaysia Section), Abhishek Appaji (IEEE Bangalore Section), Vamsi Krishna J (IEEE Hyderabad Section) and Kojiro Nishimiya (IEEE Tokyo Section), and Eddie Fong ( IEEE New South Wales Section, Australia). The committee advisors are Takako Hashimoto, IEEE Region 10 Director-Elect 2023-2024, and Supavadee Aramvith, IEEE 2023 MGA Chapter Support Committee Chair.
The SC committee aims to support and work with the IEEE R10 Sections and technical Chapters to help them start new organizational units and run the existing OUs. SC committee will run the 4th edition of its flagship program, R10 Section Chapter Symposium. This committee aims to work with SubSections directly under the IEEE R10 and support their upliftment and functioning. The SC committee will also organize special sessions at the R10 flagship conferences and SYWL to create awareness of Section chapter activities and possible support mechanisms for the IEEE Organizational units. The SC committee will continue organizing inter-regional programs, and best practices sharing sessions for Section leaders and work towards empowering the Section Chapter coordinators in R10.
