IEEE Student Branch Binus University, supported by the IEEE Indonesia Section officers, organized a Pre-University STEM Workshop on 14 May 2023 at the BINUS University BASE campus in Tangerang. The event was graced by the presence of R10 Director Prof. Lance Fung during his visit to Indonesia. The workshop featured two speakers: Mr. Auzi Asfarian (IPB University Student Branch, recipient of the 2023 IEEE Pre-University STEM Portal Grant) and Prof. Teddy Mantoro (Chair of Indonesia Section Computational Intelligence Society Chapter).
The workshop involved 27 students and 8 teachers from Fitrah Islamic World Academy (FIWA) High School, Bogor, who showed a remarkable passion for engineering and entrepreneurship. The workshop aimed to guide the students in charting their paths toward a successful engineering career, and understanding the use of artificial intelligence in pre-university education.
