On 9 October 2023, the IEEE North South University Student Branch (NSU SB) successfully organized the festive event, “IEEE Day Celebrations,” commemorating the globally renowned IEEE Day. The event featured Dr. Lamia Iftekhar, Faculty Advisor of IEEE NSU Robotics and Automation Society Student Branch Chapter, as the chief guest, along with IEEE Day Ambassadors and Student Branch members.
The event commenced with a brief introduction to IEEE Day by Dr. Lamia, emphasizing its significance in establishing the IEEE. Her remarks inspired and galvanized the IEEE NSB SB members for this year’s celebrations. Following this, Mohammad Iftekhar Bin Ashraf, Chair of IEEE NSB SB, took the stage to share inspiring words and subsequently called the ambassadors of IEEE Day, Mehedi Hasan Refat and Suraiya Islam Meem, to join him.
The IEEE Day ambassadors shared their honorable roles and goals to unite everyone in IEEE NSB SB for a prosperous celebration of IEEE Day. They discussed the upcoming IEEE Day 2023 events, highlighting the theme, “Leveraging Technology for A Better Tomorrow,” and underscoring the benefits for the participants.
The festivities concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and a group photo, marking the memorable celebration of IEEE Day 2023.
