IEEE Madras Section (MAS) successfully organized the R10 SAC Student Summit 2023, coinciding with the IEEE Day Celebration 2023, on 14 October 2023, at Anna University Guindy, Chennai. This event brought together more than 40 student branches across the IEEE Madras Section.
The summit featured various sessions aimed at providing guidance on running student branches efficiently. These sessions highlighted best practices, enabling student branches to thrive and contribute effectively to the IEEE community.
Following the insightful sessions, the IEEE Day Celebration 2023 attracted over 250 enthusiastic volunteers. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. K. Porkumaran, Chair, IEEE Madras Section, and Dr. Debabrata Das, Chair, IEEE India Council, Director, IIITB, the honorable chief guest, who delivered a warm presidential address.
A special highlight was the recognition of extraordinary IEEE volunteers; volunteers were honored with certificates. The event was further adorned by a delightful cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity and shared accomplishments. The IEEE Day Celebration reached its culmination with a group photo capturing the spirit of togetherness and shared passion for technology. Dr. S. Joseph Gladwin, Vice Chairman – Industry, IEEE MAS, delivered a heartfelt thank-you address, expressing gratitude to all participants for their contributions.
