Hosted by the IEEE Student Branch of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET SB), the IEEE Day 2023 celebration in Karachi, Pakistan, unfolded on 3-4 October 2023. Packed with a diverse range of activities—panel discussions, academic competitions, engaging games, and a dynamic membership drive—the event sparked excitement among technology enthusiasts.
The ceremony kicked off with a symbolic Ribbon-Cutting, followed by a joyous Cake-Cutting ceremony, fostering camaraderie. Dr. Zakir Shaikh, Director, National Center for Robotics and Automation, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology the Chief Guest, and Dr. Bhawani Shankar, Chairman SRSP, Pakistan, a distinguished special guest, added prestige to the IEEE Day celebration. The participation of students from Iqra University and Generation School enriched the event, culminating in a thrilling award ceremony where outstanding winners received coveted shields and cash prizes.
