The IEEE Student Branch of Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), Mumbai, India, in collaboration with IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society IEEE Computer Society, and Women in Engineering of SPIT conducted the IEEE Day Celebration on 13 October 2023. The event hosted by Shrutika Yeole and Shivani Bhatt, was a beacon for many technology enthusiasts. Central to the event was the Membership Benefits Session by Dr. Adil Sheikh, Chairman, Membership Development Committee, IEEE Bombay section along with Prof. K.T. Talele of SPIT, who highlighted the advantages of IEEE membership. Real-world testimonies from current IEEE students amplified the session’s value, particularly those who benefited from IEEE funding opportunities. The day served not only as an informative gathering but also fostered community spirit, evident from the shared enthusiasm during the cake-cutting ceremony. The event encapsulated the essence of IEEE’s mission: driving innovation and fostering community.
