The IEEE Region 10 Conference 2025 (TENCON 2025) was successfully conducted from 27 to 30 October 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Organised by the IEEE Malaysia Section with the support of the IEEE Sabah Subsection, this prestigious event brought together members of the global IEEE community for four days of technical exchange, collaboration, and professional networking.
As the flagship conference of IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific), TENCON 2025 attracted researchers, industry professionals, academics, students, and policymakers from across the region and beyond. The conference theme, “Unleashing Innovation: Elevating Technologies to New Horizons,” reflected the focus on emerging technologies and innovative solutions addressing current and future engineering challenges.
The technical programme featured a wide range of peer-reviewed paper presentations across key engineering disciplines, including electrical and electronic engineering, communications, computing, artificial intelligence, power and energy systems, robotics, control systems, and sustainable technologies. Participants engaged in vibrant technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration opportunities throughout the conference.
One of the highlights of TENCON 2025 was the presence of renowned keynote and invited speakers, who shared valuable insights into technological trends, research directions, and industry perspectives. Complementing the main technical sessions were 13 co-located programmes, covering leadership development, artificial intelligence ethics, humanitarian technology, industry engagement, and entrepreneurship. These sessions enhanced the overall conference experience by promoting interdisciplinary learning and practical perspectives.
The Industry and STEM Innovation Exhibition added further value to the event, providing a platform for companies, startups, universities, and research institutions to showcase innovative technologies, products, and research outcomes. The exhibition encouraged collaboration between academia and industry while inspiring students and young professionals.
Special emphasis was placed on student and young professional engagement, with dedicated networking sessions, career-focused activities, and mentorship opportunities. Social programmes such as the IEEE Gala Dinner, cultural performances, and informal networking events allowed participants to build meaningful connections while experiencing Sabah’s unique culture and hospitality.
All accepted and presented papers from TENCON 2025 will be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, ensuring global visibility for the research contributions. Overall, IEEE R10 TENCON 2025 was a highly successful event that strengthened regional collaboration, showcased technological excellence, and reinforced IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
