28 October 2023, the IEEE Tokyo Section Student Activities Committee, IEEE Tokyo Section Young Professionals, and the IEEE Student Branch at Meiji University collaborated on the 14th Career Development Workshop held at Meiji University in Tokyo, Japan.
The workshop was attended by 28 participants who engaged in group discussions facilitated by six professionals from various fields, including industry, research, and educational institutions. The discussions focused on career and skills development for students and young engineers.
The facilitators set topics for discussion, such as “Can university researchers play an active role in industrial companies?” and “The significance of sales and marketing experience in technical career development.” These topics brought about lively discussions and fruitful exchanges among participants.
The celebration of IEEE Day was also part of the event, and participants received T-shirts to commemorate the occasion. The event fostered a sense of unity among members and provided an opportunity for participants to change their mindset regarding career and skill development and interact with others.
